A small but mighty abrasive accessory, the 3M™ Wheel Mandrel has been engineered to allow attachment of Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip Discs (sold separately) to common 1/4 in (0.64 cm) collet equipped power tools. When combined, the mandrel, disc and power tool aid with paint stripping, sealant, and rust/coating removal applications.A seemingly simple part, the 3M Wheel Mandrel enables effective disc to tool attachment for Scotch- Brite Clean and Strip Discs (sold separately). The Scotch-Brite Clean and Strip Discs that this mandrel supports are an extra coarse grade, open-web disc engineered to effectively clean welds, remove rust, and strip paint. The open construction and aggressive abrasive properties provide a smooth running wheel that resists loading when removing soft or high loading coatings.
