3M™ Tabbing and Splicing Tape 5300 is a 5 mil thick clear, pressure-sensitive adhesive backed film that provides a strong bond to many polyolefin release liners found on most 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes.3M Tabbing and Splicing Tape 5300 consists of a rubber resin adhesive on a polyester backing. It bonds well to a polyolefin substrate such as polyethylene or polypropylene, and can be used for tabbing or as a splicing tape to the polyethylene film liner of 3M Acrylic Foam Tapes. Used in conjunction with a heat-bond tab applicating machine, 3M Tabbing and Splicing Tape 5300 provides a reliable means of liner removal in a production environment. Since product performance will depend on actual conditions within a specific application, it is essential that the user evaluate the 3M product to determine whether it is fit for a particular material purpose and suitable for the users method of application.
