Product Overview
The 3M™ Scotchcast™ Electrical Insulating and Sealing Compound is a two-part, low-viscosity polyurethane for permanent splice protection.The 3M Scotchcast Electrical Insulating Resin 2104 is a hard, two-part, polyurethane resin encapsulate designed specifically for permanent splice protection. It is formulated for virtually every electrical application requiring hard, non-re-enterable resin with good handling and performance characteristics. The resin is also used as the insulating material for cable splices operating at 1000 volts or less and is rated for continuous use at 90C with an overload rating of 130C. It may be stocked to cover all hard resin needs, ending the need for multiple encapsulate inventories. Gel time is 18 minutes at 23C.
